Yesterday, December 15th a general meeting of shareholders Oranta has been conducted at Puscha-Voditsa near Kiev. Traditionally, the event was attended by many representatives of the national media, thus the organizers again confirmed the company's strict adherence to the chosen strategy of the transparency leadership at the insurance market.
Since early December the total amount of the insurance compensations paid out by Oranta amounted to more than 8 million hryvnia, including UAH 6,5 million paid for the insurance cases settled by the assisting company Garant-Assistance.
On Friday, December 10th Oranta in partnership with the Ukrainian Federation of Insurance (UFI) organized a training seminar dedicated to the implementation of the green office practices by the insurance companies of Ukraine. Among the experts of the seminar were Ms. Anna Danyluk, Private Sector Consultant of the UN Global Compact Network in Ukraine, Ms. Olena Maslyukovskaya, Senior Lecturer in Ecology of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Ms. Julia Begma, Club A4 Coordinator of the Socially Responsible Business Community and Ms. Alexandra Afanasyeva, Head of Corporate Communications of Oranta.
On 9th of December a press briefing and the ceremony dedicated to the definition of the best Ukrainian companies that provide equal opportunities for women and men at work to obtain equal pay, to combine work and family and to avoid the discrimination and sexual harassment has been conducted in Kiev in the framework of the first contest "Equal opportunities: the best employer of 2010" in Ukraine .
According to an independent study "The most respected companies of Ukraine in 2010" Oranta is ranked number 23 in terms of reputation among the large Ukrainian companies. The project was carried out through several stages. The criteria for the inclusion of the companies into the research were their gross income and the awareness among the general public in Ukraine. The data collection for the study was implemented by the network marketing agency TNS in October of 2010. The sample size was 1000 respondents aged 18 years and older.
Oranta, well aware of the importance and the need to build and maintain strong, positive and responsible image of its own brand, has joined the community initiative to promote and improve the image of Ukraine. On December 8, 2010, the Forum "Ukraine: the branding of countries and cities" has been conducted in Kiev.

The reliability is confirmed by the sum of the indemnity payments carried out under the program. As of December 1, 2010 the company settled 262 cases under the promotional program, the total amount of the actual insurance reimbursement exceeded 360 thousand hryvnia.
As a company that advocates the concept of the green office, Oranta in partnership with the Ukrainian Federation of Insurance will conduct a training seminar dedicated to the implementation of the green office practices among the insurance companies of Ukraine. The green office - is the concept of managing the organization in order to reduce its negative impact on the environment by maximizing the conservation of energy and resources, and reduce waste.
