In December, 2010 and in early January, 2011 Oranta successfully completed the procedure of concluding the reinsurance programs in all insurance portfolios. The resumption of the reinsurance programs has been conducted on the terms of the previous year, and for some of the contracts the conditions were improved.
February, 18 The III International Conference "Volunteering as the path to the charity" organized by the Ukrainian Philanthropists Forum took place in Kyiv. In the framework of the conference a round table discussion devoted to the successful practices and strategies of corporate volunteerism in Ukraine has been organized by the Eastern Europe Foundation in partnership with the Ukrainian network of the UN Global Compact. The event was attended by the representatives of large Ukrainian companies and international organizations.
Over the past week, from 14 to 18 February, Oranta paid its customers the insurance compensations amounting to the total of 2.6 million hryvnia. UAH 2,2 million of the indemnities for the insurance cases were settled by the assisting the company Garant-Assistance.
On February, 11 the Consortium for improvement of the management education in Ukraine (CEUME) organized the first Forum of practical marketing knowledge in the framework of the B2S (business to students) project with the support of the leading Ukrainian and international companies.
Over the past week, from 7 to 11 February, the total sum of the insurance compensations paid by Oranta to its clients amounted to 3 million hryvnia, the settlement of all insurance claims has been conducted by Oranta’s assisting company Garant-Assistance.
On the eve of the European Year of Volunteering, which takes place during the 2011, the Eastern Europe Foundation in partnership with the UN Global Compact Network in Ukraine conducted the National phase of the European competition of the volunteer programs. The aim of the competition was to mark the companies, which developed and actively implemented voluntary programs to help the job seekers overcome the barriers to employment.
