"Oranta" Incorporated performs a complex crop planting insurance on the terms subject to Law "On support of agriculture of Ukraine" from 24th of June 2004 ¹ 1877-IV, which anticipates the reduction of insurance cost for agricultural manufacturers at the expense of State budget of Ukraine.
The conclusion of insurance contracts is performed from the moment of crops appearance up to the 1st of December.
Concluded insurance contracts are valid until the beginning of renewing vegetation of insured winter crops but not later than the 1st of April.
Complex crop insurance is performed due to all complex of the risks, mentioned below:
frosts, ice-crusted ground, freezing;
hail or stroke of lightning;
earthquake;
avalanche, landslide, earth or earth-water flow;
fire, except forest fires;
storm, hurricane, blizzard;
heavy showers, flood;
freshet;
drought or dewatering on the lands, which are subject to forced watering or flooding;
epiphytotic development of plant diseases;
epiphytotic reproduction of plant vermin;
secondary plant diseases, as a result of the above-mentioned risks occurring;
illegal activities of parties such as thefts, rowdy actions as to vegetable plantations, destruction of coverings (bearing constructions) of greenhouses, seedbeds, glasshouses;
other events, concerned with unfavorable winter weather conditions that hampers renewing vegetation of these crops after wintering.
The amount of Sum insured is determined through multiplication of acreage under insured crops by the cost of the expenses for their planting and growing.
Insurance tariff is determined taking into consideration such factors as: region, kind of crop, crop condition, which is accepted for insurance, the amount of franchise and is within 2,57% to 8,5% of Sum insured.
In case of loss (detriment) of insured crops, the damage is determined for each field (plot) in the amount of expenses, actually incurred by the farm for planting and growing of insured winter crops on the date of event occurrence.
